The righteousness of God [God's nature] in your spirit, carries in it the ability to live a consecrated; sanctified life: a life of purity.

Once Jews under the old covenant [(predicated upon bloods of animals) and it's commandments(The Law; the handwritings of ordinances)] receives the life of Christ, they get totally freed from the Law which brought the consciousness of sins and imparted death.

Those whose nativity isn't hebraic (i.e the Gentiles) had never for once been under the Law, so gentiles who receives Christ are brought automatically under grace. It is stack foolishness for a gentile who has received Christ(and is under grace) to keep living under the dictates of the Law and following it's dictates and practices(religiously). 

When you announce Christ as your sovereign Lord, you identified with him in his death, burial and resurrection i.e [You died in and with Christ, you were buried with him and you rose from the dead with Him]. Your ressurection with(in) Christ gave you the full access by faith into God's abundant grace; and you also received the Power to live above sin(and it's motions), thus you as a believer ain't incapacitated from living a holy, pure, consecrated and refined life! 

It is your duty to yield your mind and body parts to living the godly life by relying on that ability from your righteous renewed spirit. Consistent yielding of your members (body parts and mind) to the works of righteousness [godly living; practices and deeds] will grant you unusual access to certain possibilities in Christ!

This submission [of your members] has to be a deliberate action, coupled with discipline and focus.
