To understand Law and Grace, the concept of sin must be understood first. Sin happens to be a nature which reigned as a result of Adam's offense. After Adam transgressed and disobeyed God's command, he made available sin in the world and through sin, death (both spiritual and physical) was activated. Anyone who transgressed after the similitude of Adam's offense(which is the rejection of Christ, the tree of life and walking in unbelief) was separated from God and anyone who believed in Christ(in the old covenant: in types and shadows) received the gift of righteousness as a promissory note until Shiloh(Christ) will later come to perfect their rghteousness.
Adam made available Sin and anyone who walked outside Faith died(Adam, Cain, nimrod, the children of Israel who murmured and walked in unbelief, the Israeli Kings who didn't walk accordingly to God's standards). During this dispensation, righteousness was also made available by Christ(by believing in the gospel) and its impact was eternal life as a promisory note on those who believe(Abel, Enoch, Noah, Moses, Elijah.)
1800 years after Solomon's reign in Israel, Christ who is the fullness of God's Perfection came, suffered, died, was buried in a cave, ressurected, and sat at God's right hand on high therefore making full availability of Eternal Life to those who had believed and will later believe the gospel(His resurrection). Sin which came by Adam's offense is still available in this world but to those who will still reject the message of the gospel therefore bringing about their eternal punishment and damnation [Anathema]
This Sin [which was available after Adam transgressed, and reigned when the Law was given by angels to Moses, and is still available to those who are outside the fold] is being governed by a Law in the preternatural worlds called the Law of Sin and(which imparted) death.
Righteousness which reigned before Adam transgressed, and is currently reigning as king in this dispensation (of the HolySpirit) is being governed by a Law called the Law of Spirit(which imparts) Life!
