The default system of every believer in Christ should be Joy. One who has put on Christ as mantle must also wear the Spirit of Joy in his/her mind, even when faced with trials and temptations.
Every believer in Christ will suffer afflictions and persecutions for Christ's sake since we are still in this world. Amidst this persecutions, God takes advantage of the situation to bring you to a point where your faith in Christ is operational and fully maximized.
This will bring you to full maturity in handling the things of the Spirit and the matters that pertains the kingdom. During this time, it's your duty to give yourself wholly to endurance, patience, perseverance and steadfastness.
See every challenges of life as an avenue for God to build you into a giant, and then fully exercise your faith in Christ.
God will always want the best for you. God isn't the author of persecutions, afflictions, trials and temptations, but in his infinite mercy, he takes advantage of every situation to refine you into something beautiful and excellent.
