The Old Covenant; it's ordinances and services

The Old covenant [the life of flesh is in the blood]

This is a covenant predicated upon the blood of  Animals(esp livestocks and birds-). The blood of these animals were offered to atone for the sins of the Jews, and their bodies were burnt upon altars, and their flames rose up as sweet smelling(incense) savor to God. In this covenant, there were diverse washings and offerings; sin offering, burnt offering, peace offering, weave offering, drink offering, thanksgiving offering and so on.

These were done at specific period of time in annually and were mainly done by the High priest and his sons(the priests). Several Feasts were also kept signifying past events that had happened in the Ancient Jewish nation.

Feast of Passover- when the Angel of destruction(Abaddon) passed over the houses of the Children of Israel in Goshen; a province in Egypt

Feast of Unleavened bread- signifying the quick departure (the Exodus) of the Israelites from Egypt

Feast of Firstfruits- signifying the harvest the Children of Israel first reaped when they left Israel

Feast of Pentecost- signifying the time when Moses received the Law on Mt Sinai after he had spent 40 days and nights in the wilderness

Then the three fall feasts
Feast of Trumpets-
Day of Atonement-
Feast of Tabernacles-
All these offerings, feasts, were all the ordinances of the Old covenant predicated upon the blood of Animals and were shadows of Christ.
