Lessons from the life of Joseph3
7. In your journey to fulfilling purpose, you must take full advantage of your God-given abilities, giftings and talents, maximise their use and implement them in the face of opportunities.
Joseph knew God has given him the ability to interpret dreams and visions and over the years in Egypt, he must have with time mastered the use of such gifts by meditation and prayers.
Genesis 44:15NIV:Joseph said to them, “What is this you have done? Don’t you know that a man like me can find things out by divination?”
AMP:Joseph said to them, What is this thing that you have done? Do you not realize that such a man as I can certainly detect and know by divination [everything you do without other knowledge of it]?
He knew there'll always be an opportunity to use such gifting and that landed him as the Prime minister in a foreign land.
8. While Joseph was in the palace interpreting pharaoh's dream, he placed a demand on his gifting.
Genesis 41:33 Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.
41:34 Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.
41:38 And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?
41:39 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:
Always make those you offer solutions to their problem see you as someone irreplaceable and irresistible. Let them know you're the only one capable of rendering help to their needs.. Joseph knew there was no man in Egypt whose wisdom matched the wisdom God has placed in him, and then he placed a demand on someone fit to offer the solution knowing fully well he's the helper.
Take a full advantage of the Spirit of Wisdom in Christ! Learn fully well from this Principles and see God leading you to fulfilling your purpose
